In the daily currency technicals, the euro's bottoming pattern looks familiar, the Japanese yen closes in on 115.00, and the British pound barely holds.
An extremely quiet day in New York saw EUR/USD chop around between 1.2575 and 1.2615. EUR/JPY threatened to breakdown at 143.65 from a large Head and Shoulders pattern, but never got the momentum up to take the plunge.
The next few days will be very busy as traders prepare themselves for a long list of key economic data scheduled for release from all of the major countries around the world as well as a number of Fed speeches.
