US dollar price action was primarily responsible for much of what happened throughout the forex markets on Wednesday, as the Dollar Index finally broke below critical trendline support, suggesting the currency is officially turning lower.

Trading around market cycle theory is something more day traders are watching and implementing. Once the exclusive realm of long term investors, tracking market cycles on a variety of timeframes, including 10-minute charts, is becoming more commonplace among traders looking for quick moves in a chaotic market.

Investing frauds are on the rise all over the world.

U.S. corporations are beginning to complain about the damage that the strong dollar is having on corporate earnings.

Risk appetite was strong for much of the day, pushing the S&P 500 up 6.37 percent by the end of the day and weighing on the US dollar and Japanese yen on word that Citigroup was having its best quarter since posting a profit in 2007.

So far, the Dow has wiped out 43 years of gains. Adjusted for inflation, it was at this level back when the Beach Boys and the Beatles were just starting out.

The US dollar benefited from jittery market sentiment on Monday, and with the Dollar Index holding above key support, the outlook for the currency remains bullish.

Wall Street isn't expecting any good news in the coming week.  The best the market can hope for is a bounce off grossly oversold levels.
