Incorvia's Swing Trade Stocks for May 14

Incorvia's Swing Trade Stocks for May 14

Last week was supposed have a lot of fireworks. There was the FOMC announcement, inflation numbers, retail sales and same store sales releases. With a docket like that, a huge move was imminent. In the end, the broader averages were basically flat.

Most of the action this coming week will be generated from corporate earnings. Several key retailers will be reporting, such as Home Depot (HD), Wall Mart (WMT), JC Penny (JCP) and Kohl’s (KSS). The market may tip its hand with the retails as last Thursday’s 147 point sell-off was fueled by a less-than-expected same store sales.

My attention this week will be on the Insurance Sector. Specifically, I interested in the Accident & Health and Property & Casualty sub-sectors. Some of the stocks on my watch list are Aflac (AFL), Unum Group (UNM) and Cincinnati Financial (CINF). Also, I'll keep an eye on Oil stocks, because they are poised for another move to the upside.

Discovery Holdings (DISCA) had a good day Friday getting back all the losses from Thursday’s sell-off. This indicates that the buyers are back. I’m expecting a push to the highs.

Canadian Natural Resources (CNQ) has had a strong bullish trend over the last couple months. Last week’s pullback has given an opportunity to buy.
