Around the Horn: Stocks to Watch for January 19

On Friday, Julie and I will focus on Barr Pharmaceuticals (BRL).  The stock left a Fast Ball setup on the daily chart and looks promising going into the session.

Carnival Corp shows signs of a potential reversal move lower, as the stock left an Infield Fly setup on Thursday’s daily chart.  We will be interested in an entry below the session low, or under the close on broader market weakness.

International Rectifier (IRF) is set for a Fast Ball move lower Friday.  The stock had an expansion of range and volume, and closed into the lows of the session.

If retail reverses, JC Penney will be on the radar as a potential Sinker setup.  The stock is trading at all-time highs on a Fast Ball expansion of range and volume.

In the event of constructive price action in retail (RLX.X) we will be looking for long entry opportunities in Safeway Inc (SWY).  The stock made a Fast Ball expansion move to the upside and put in a solid close.

Julie and I will be checking out of the War Room at 2:00 pm ET on Friday to wrap up some family business.  If we don’t see you on our way out the door, have a good weekend.
