Around the Horn: Stocks to Watch for December 21

Thursday marks the likely beginning of the exodus from Wall Street for the long Christmas weekend.  As such, we plan to keep trading very light.  There are a couple stocks worth a look, but we will keep position size and risk tolerance to a minimum through the holiday.

Nike (NKE) had a Fast Ball day and an excellent earnings announcement.  The stock is trading at new highs, and we will watch both sides of the market on Thursday.

Nike Inc.

Northrop Grumman Corp is taking its third shot at a breakout of the November/December trading range. We will watch for a Fast Ball continuation on Thursday.

Plum Creek Timber Co (PCL) announce its withdrawal from NYSE/ARCA on Wednesday and left a Fast Ball move to resistance for the effort. Due to the overhead on this one, I am most interested in the reversal setup on Thursday.  Again, beware the potential low liquidity, as trading could be erratic.

Be cautious Thursday and Friday.
