Around the Horn: Stocks to Watch for September 27

On Wednesday, we will be watching Air Products & Chemicals Inc (APD) for a continuation of Tuesdayââ,¬â"¢s Line Drive move.

A Fast Ball range expansion in Alliant TechSys Inc (ATK) has us watching that stock for follow through as well.

Columbia Energy Group made a Double Header / Fast Ball move lower, and will be in our sights on Wednesday. We will take a short position in the stock on any move lower after a consolidation that provides a reasonable stop loss.

Deere & Co (DE) is a Fast Ball long side setup, with the Tuesday expansion of range and volume pushing the stock above recent resistance.

Group 1 Automotive, Inc.(GPI) left an Infield Fly at the 50-period simple moving average and is a possible short sale for Tuesday. We will closely monitor retail (RLX.X) prior to initiating any trade to confirm sector weakness.

Basic materials got a bounce on Tuesday, and Reliance Steel & Aluminum Co. (RS) had a Fast Ball pop to the upside, leaving a buy signal going into Wednesdayââ,¬â"¢s trading. We will need to see significant evidence of upside in the steel manufacturers prior to committing to a position in this heavily oversold stock. A move higher would place the stock above the 50-period simple moving average for the first time since July.
