Around the Horn: Stocks to Watch for August 17

Abercrombie & Fitch Co (ANF) left a Backdoor Slider on Wednesday and looks to be an interesting long side setup for Thursdayâ�,��"�s trading.

Fortune Brands, Inc (FO) had a Fast Ball expansion of range and volume on Wednesday and made a very strong move into the close. The stock appears ready for follow-through on Thursday. We will have FO on the radar throughout the session on Thursday.

After a gap-down open, Sherwin-Williams Co (SHW) managed a Fast Ball move to the up side that has it closing right at recent resistance. We will watch for a move higher to trigger a long position on Thursday.

Finally, Thermo Electron Corp (TMO) left a Backdoor Slider on the daily chart today and will be on the watch list for a move higher throughout the Thursday session.
