Around the Horn: Stocks to Watch for August 7

I will be watching for Fast Ball follow through on Aon Corp (AOC) which reported second quarter revenue of $2.26B versus consensus of $2.52B. The stock had an expansion of range and volume on Friday and closed poorly on the day.

Beazer Homes Inc (BZH) left an Infield Fly right at the 50-period simple moving average on Friday. The stock will be on our short-sale short list Monday.

Coach (COH) continues to elude us, as we have been watching it for several days for a breakdown opportunity. We will have the retailer on the radar again on Monday.

Group 1 Automotive (GPI) provided significant Fast Ball profits last Wednesday. For the Monday session, the stock has presented a loosely structured Backdoor Slider which, nevertheless, looks appealing from a profit potential standpoint.

An Infield Fly in Ingersoll Rand (IR) has the stock perched for a move lower with a target around the 20 period simple moving average.

Ingersoll Rand Company LTD

Last week, the St. Joe Company (JOE) got a nice pop after announcing that it had entered into a long-term relationship with Beazer Homes under which Beazer would develop and sell single and multi-family homes on St. Joeââ,¬â"¢s sites in a number of its Florida towns. This was followed by news of an analyst downgrade of JOE just 24 hours later, and a subsequent Double Header pattern in the stock. We will be watching for a move lower throughout the Monday session.

St. Joe Co

Finally, Oshkosh Truck Corp (OSK) is back on our radar, this time as a potential Infield Fly for Monday. The stock did not close as weakly as I would prefer for the setup, but it still bears watching.
