Around the Horn: Stocks to Watch for July 7

On Thursday, Universal Health Services (UHS) did the anticipated dance with the 50-day simple moving average and provided a nice planned-trade profit opportunity.

For the Friday session, we will keep an eye on Apartment Investment & Management Co. (AIV).   The stock left a Backdoor Slider on the daily chart and looks strong moving over resistance.

Commerce Bancorp Inc. (CBH) also left a Backdoor Slider setup. This one setup on the short side, made a stairstep move lower throughout the day and closed poorly

One of last nightââ,¬â"¢s Fast Ball candidates, Choicepoint Inc. will be on the radar during the Friday session as well. The stock failed to trigger Thursday, leaving an Extra Inning setup in the form of a Backdoor Slider short.

Speaking of Fast Ball setups, Getty Images (GYI) appears ready for a retest of the May 4, 2006 low. We will watch for any signs of weakness, as the stock can make large range moves off pullbacks.

Finally, Polaris Industries Inc. (PII) also left a daily Fast Ball on elevated volume. We will be targeting a retest of mid-May lows.
