Fedex (FDX) and Torchmark (TMK) managed to deliver on Wednesday. Outback Steakhouse provided a substantial opportunity, but traders had to be comfortable trading a gap in the direction of the gap (we used to call these gap & go).
For Thursday, Dow Jones & Co. (DJ) looks ready to extend its Fast Ball expansion of range and volume. I anticipate a move right off the open, but I will watch troughout the day for signs of a break lower.

Wednesdayââ,¬â"¢s petroleum status report added fuel to Frontier Oilââ,¬â"¢s (FTO) rise, as the stock had a Fast Ball move higher out of a six-bar consolidation. The stock is worth keeping on the Thursday radar as well.

In insurance (IUX.X) XL Capital (XL) appears ready to break lower. Wednesdayââ,¬â"¢s Fast Ball move failed to close in the bottom of the range, but the stock still looks poised for more downside.
