Live Trading Room Stock Setups For May 15

Live Trading Room Stock Setups For May 15

The stock market gave us a bullish trending day. Unfortately, many of our watch list stocks broke resistance at the market open or without a protective stop that presented an attractive reward-to-risk ratio.

Trading momentum stock moves on the market open is a viable trading strategy. I don't do it because it's much harder to contain my risk. The high volatility and wide bid/ask spreads on the market open decrease the targets and increase the stops. Slippage, costs, and risks must be contained to make money trading in the long run.

IP LONG 48.03 47.85 $(0.18)
LLY LONG 55.80 55.95 $0.15 Trail hit.
O LONG 53.37 53.37 $-
NSLN SHORT 34.98 34.73 $0.25 Exit end of day.
TRN SHORT 41.24 41.52 $(0.28)

Total of ($0.06) per share. Multiply average share size to estimate gross earnings. 1000 shares per trade would be -$60 gross earnings for the day.

Wide-range bar setups for the next trading day. The day trade setup is only good for the upcoming trading session.

Entries, targets, and stops are based on the day's likely inflection points, and natural support and resistance. Avoid trade until bid/ask spread narrows.

Additional stocks may be posted in the Live Trading Room in the morning. The room opens at the opening bell. There is no pre-market analysis or chat, because pre-market data has no effect on how or what I will trade. There are typically no trades within the first 15 minutes of the market session. Request your free invitation to the trading room here.
