Around The Horn: Stocks To Watch For January 21

Tuesday’s market collapse may or may not represent an oversold technical level. We will most likely see an opening bounce, but my guess is that the safest side of the market to look for intraday opportunities on Wednesday will be the short side.

In the industrials, we will be watching 3M (MMM) for a Fast Ball expansion of range and volume continuation move lower. Trade below 53.75 will have us looking for a short sale entry opportunity on broader weakness.

Also in the industrials, Mastec Inc. (MTZ) made a high level Fast Ball move lower, breaking moving average and price support in the process. Trade below 10.25 will indicate an entry opportunity for us provided a suitable stop loss can be identified and that weakness in the broader market exerts itself.

Finally, Sealed Air Corp (SEE) also made a Fast Ball move lower on significant volume. We will look for an entry opportunity below 12.94.
