Around the Horn: Stocks to Watch for February 4

On Monday we will watch Barnes and Noble Inc. (BKS) for a continuation of the recent leg to the upside. The stock left a Backdoor Slider on Friday and appears ready to test recent resistance established in mid-December.

We will also be watching a Line Drive set up in BMC Software Inc. (BMC). Any move above 34.37 with broad-based sector support will have me interested in a long-side entry.

On Friday Cooper Cos. (COO) made a Fast Ball expansion of range and volume move, breaking the 50-day simple moving average and putting the stock in position to attempt a break back into the October-December trading range. A move above 41.60 will have me interested in a long position in the stock.
