Around the Horn: Stocks to Watch for February 1

Given the extreme market volatility over the past several days, I will play it very close to the vest on Friday. The jobs number will most certainly determine whether the market will continue to trade erratically or if it will choose to settle into a more predictable groove.
I will watch First American Corporation (FAF) for a move above 44.31 during the Friday session. These stock left a Fast Ball setup on Thursday and has been trading on significant volume during the entire 2008 up-move.

A Line Drive set up in Harris Corporation (HRS) will have me interested in the long side on this stock as well. A move above 55.08 will be my signal to consider a potential long entry.

Harris Corporation (HRS)

Land America Financial Group Inc. (LFG) is not a true Fast Ball setup, but did make an expansion of range and volume move to the upside on Thursday. I will watch the stock for intraday trading opportunities.
