Around the Horn: Stocks to Watch for September 19

Among Tuesday’s array of FOMC Fast Ball moves, Dick’s Sporting Goods stands out as a potential Sinker setup for Wednesday’s trading. We will look for an attempt to break the highs followed by a reversal through the Tuesday closing price to set up a short sale entry.

Dick’s Sporting Goods

Lincoln National (LNC) is a financial Fast Ball with upside room to 66.70. We will watch the stock for a break higher on continued strength I the sector.

Lincoln National Corp

Prudential Financial (PRU) is also a Fast Ball setup with upside potential for Wednesday’s session.

Prudential Financial

Stryker (SYK) is a Switch Hitter setup. The stock tested the 50 period daily simple moving average on Tuesday and took a solid FOMC inspired bounce mid-session. We will look for a move above the Tuesday high to signal a long opportunity on Wednesday.
