Around the Horn: Stocks to Watch for October 3

On Tuesday, we will be watching the defense sector (DFX.X), General Dynamics (GD) and Lockheed Martin for signs of upside follow through.

Lincoln National Corp (LNC) is in a Switch Hitter pullback to the 20-day simple moving average, and strength in the financial sector on Tuesday will have us looking for a long side entry.

Nike Inc had a 3-2 Pitch pullback on Monday, and will be on the long side radar on Wednesday as well.

Omnicom Group Inc. was also a 3-2 Pitch pullback. We will watch the stock for upside on Tuesday.

Finally, Varian Medical Systems (VAR) moved lower in a Fast Ball expansion of range and volume and will be on our list of short sale candidates Tuesday.
